hey guys..... so i was thinking since we are a Squad.... how about this new game for the PS3 for those of us who have one..... it seems ok.. and its suppose to allow up to 256 players at once in the same server...and its also one of the biggest squad based games ever developed..... so it will kind of be like JO all over again... i am thinking of buying it and giving it a try.....

I didn't really like it during the closed Beta... but i think its worth buying depending on how much it costs.
The maps are huge, and they did it smart. Each map is basicly divided in two near the middle. On the team thats defending, the two areas on the team have... i think 4-6 bunkers. Each squad is assigned to one bunker, and their goal is to defend it. If the enemy destroys the bunker, then that squad spawns at the main base. Near the end of the game if all the bunkers are destroyed.. then all 256 players are at the back of the defenders side, and all the squads have to work together to ensure that the enemy doesn't accomplish their objective.

sounds interesting, but I have to say it again, I can't FPS with a controller, aiming is a B***** and just not worth it, so for me to play this I have to spring for the keyboard+mouse which is $100+, that and I don't know for sure if the game will allow me to play with the keyboard and mouse like a computer will. Then there is the cost of the game which will probably be $60.... that's alot of money with too many IF's for my own comfort.

ya ya whatever, moving around the screen with a mouse and moving around with your thumb and a padel is just two different kinds of actions but I'll put money on me kicking the a$$ of any D-pad players vs my mouse/keyboard combo.
I dunno, if you guys REALLLY like it find out if you can also play the game with the keyboard, if so I might consider getting it with my Tax return.
so.. i bought the game today.... and its actually not that bad.... even though graphics are a big downer...... the game play and squad type of war... make it ideal for us.... (i think)........ and no inferno i havent find out if u can use ur keyboard and mouse....... and why so much aggresion.... you are a good player... and so is everyone else.... we all have our days....
i have come to the conclusion that this game will be perfect for XT........ its very squad based..... once your character reaches level 8 you can play in the servers that have 256 people... but before you get to that level you play in the little (not so little) maps.. that only aloow up to like 64 and 100 and something.... players at once..... if any wants to join me in this new quest..... i join the VALOR faction... so let me know if anyone else out there will be playing this...
